According to a small study conducted by the County of Los Angeles, in California, at least one in seven home kitchens would not approve the routine inspection that applies to establishments.

Research found that only 61% of kitchens households receive grade of A or B if they submit to the rigors of a restaurant inspection. At least 14% would fail without even reaching a C.

Cleaning the kitchen should not be a martyr; steel countertops can be polished if the metal is cleaned with a sponge and dishwashing liquid, then rinse with water. Another very important issue is the cleaning of the refrigerator, which many people clean once a year, maybe two, and the rest of the time ignored.

Experts Kraft Food Company Inc. recommend that you check what’s in your fridge once a week and boats any product that smells bad or is defeated.

If possible, unplug your refrigerator every three or four months. Removes food and washed well inside with soap and warm water. Do it well to remove spoiled food.

For maximum effectiveness you can disinfect the refrigerator or refrigerator using a solution of 3/4 cup of bleach mixed with one gallon of warm water.
